Stanley J Orzel

Hong Kong-based filmmaker STANLEY J ORZEL (Writer-Director) has created numerous award-winning TV commercials and documentaries in Asia, Europe and the United States. A graduate of the prestigious film program at Syracuse University in New York, Stanley has resided in Asia for more than a decade.

Most recently, he focused his creative energies on feature films. As a Creative Consultant to Producer Bill Kong, he was instrumental in the creation of numerous international box-office hits.

He has collaborated closely with renowned director Zhang Yimou on the martial arts epic “HERO”, “House of Flying Daggers” and “Curse of the Golden Flower” and with director Ronny Yu on the Jet Li saga “Fearless”.

Having lived in Asia, Europe and the United States, Orzel brings a distinctive blend of East and West to his filmmaking style.

A connoisseur of Asian action cinema, Stanley J. Orzel offers a unique perspective to the noir thriller “Four Assassins” (a.k.a. “Far Away Eyes”), which was shot entirely on location in Hong Kong.
